A bespoke aged off-white architectural plaster finish balanced against copper leaf detailing for The Hoxton, Holborn.

Architectural Plaster Finish
The Hoxton's Holborn property called for a bespoke architectural plaster finish that would sit comfortably within a contemporary hospitality interior while introducing warmth and texture against exposed structural and copper detailing.
Choice Finishes developed an aged off-white plaster finish, applied with subtle tonal variation to avoid a flat, uniform surface, and specifically balanced in tone against the copper leaf elements specified elsewhere in the space.
The finish delivers understated texture and gentle tonal movement across the treated walls — a considered counterpoint to the sharper, more reflective materials used throughout the rest of the interior.
Matching the plaster's tone to complement, rather than compete with, the copper leaf detailing required close coordination between trades and several rounds of sample review under the space's actual lighting.
We produced multiple sample panels at full scale on-site, refining the finish until the plaster and copper elements read as a single considered material palette rather than two separate specifications.
