What is Traditional Plastering?
Traditional plastering refers to the standard gypsum-based two-coat system used across most residential and commercial construction: a backing coat (browning or bonding) followed by a smooth finishing skim. Our plastering and skimming teams handle everything from small patch repairs to full house re-skims.
It covers new-build first-fix plastering, re-skimming old or cracked walls, patch repairs after electrical or plumbing work, and plasterboarding and skimming replacement ceilings.
Done well, it is unglamorous but essential — a flat, sound surface is the foundation every paint finish, wallpaper, and feature lighting scheme depends on.

Skim Coat Application
A fine finishing skim applied over the backing coat to build a smooth, even surface.
Trowelling & Finishing

Drying & Snagging Check
Controlled drying and a final snagging inspection before handover to decorators.
