Venetian Plaster — Lucido
Tone-matched plaster for principal rooms
Belgravia's principal floors are formal rooms, often hung with art and furnished with antiques. Plaster here has to support everything else in the room rather than compete with it. That is exactly the brief we worked to at Maison Estelle, a private members' club in a historic Mayfair townhouse, where each principal room received its own bespoke-tinted Marmorino-type finish, matched precisely to the designer's physical material samples. Deeper tones went into intimate lounges and lighter, more reflective surfaces into rooms used by day. Lateral apartments and lower ground floors
Lateral conversions bring long runs of wall, enfilades of doorways and corridors where a finish has to read consistently from one end to the other. Marmorino is well suited to these large areas and can be tinted to a single tone throughout or varied subtly from room to room. In new lower-ground floors created by basement excavation, ceilings are lower and natural light is limited, so we often suggest a lighter, more reflective Venetian finish to lift the space. As specialist plasterers who also carry out tanking, we look at the waterproofing and the background first, so the decorative coat is not let down by what lies behind it.
Bathrooms, showers and dressing rooms
Master bathrooms in Belgravia often combine stone with plaster. Tadelakt is the right choice inside showers and around baths, as it is a waterproof lime plaster when properly detailed. Venetian plaster and Marmorino, once waxed or sealed, suit the rest of the bathroom, dressing rooms and powder rooms. Microcement is available where a more contemporary, seamless floor and wall finish is wanted.

From sample to finished wall
We start with a survey of the substrate and the light, then produce samples on site for approval, tinted to your scheme. Making good, levelling and priming come next, followed by base coats, hand-burnished finishing coats and a protective wax or seal. A fixed quote follows the site visit and sampling.
